ANGEL Training and Help Sessions For Faculty

Fall 2009:  For New or Returning Instructors Teaching Online, Blended or Land-based Courses

Basic ANGEL Training for Faculty Session 1 (two hours)  
CONTENT AND COURSE MAIL IN ANGEL

• In this hands-on training session, instructors will learn the  course content and communicate features of ANGEL.

Basic ANGEL Training for Faculty Session 2 (two hours)  
ANGEL GRADE BOOK AND ASSESSMENTS

• In this hands-on training session, instructors will walk through the process of creating ANGEL assessments and setting up the ANGEL grade book. 

BareBones ANGEL for Land-Based Faculty

• For Novice ANGEL Instructors Teaching Land Based Classes
  Instructors who teach land-based class(es) and simply want to “get their feet wet” with ANGEL, come to this one-hour session. 

ANGEL Assessments (1 hour):

• Build ANGEL Assessments for online quizzes, tests or exams.  Learn the Access, Interaction and Review settings. 
• Migrate from the old ANGEL quizzes (single check-marked icon) to assessments (triple check-marked icon).  This is an important step for all faculty members this semester.
  
• Use team settings for OSNS students.
  
• Use question banks and question pools to improve security for your online tests.

ANGEL Secure Browser (1/2 hour):

• The ANGEL 7.3 Secure Browser is now available for online testing on computers in the Main Campus testing center (PC 107), and on Compass computers in the Wellington and Midpoint Centers.
  
  
• The ANGEL Secure Browser delivers a higher level of security for ANGEL online assessments in a proctored testing environment.  The ANGEL Secure Browser ensures that the student cannot access impermissible materials on the internet, launch other applications, or communicate with peers using messaging tools within the application.
